Once the spring and summer arrive here in Eastern Pennsylvania we rely upon and need our central air conditioning systems to keep us cool and comfortable. However, your A/C isn’t going to be able to accomplish this and work properly if it’s not the right size for your home.
Don’t worry though. The experts here at Oehlert Bros. can help you figure out exactly what size central air unit you need for your specific home.
If your central air conditioning system is not correctly sized for your home it is not going to be able to effectively cool your home down.
An air conditioner that is too small for your home might be lacking the power that it needs to keep rooms cool. If your air conditioner is too big your home may get uncomfortably cold. Air conditioners that are too large can also short cycle (meaning they turn on and off too often) and this can take years off of their lifespan.
The size A/C that you will need directly correlates to the size of your house. You may have already assumed this, but a larger home needs a bigger A/C than a smaller home does for it to feel cool.
